Update: Cedar Falls Veterans Hike and Family Field Day

and Floyd Camping Trip

Our Cedar Falls event took place on June 6, 2026 at the George Wyth State Park. Many veterans attended. Although it was a hot day, we all had fun along the hike and participating in a bags tournament. Jumping in at the lake was a great way to end the hike as well. This year, we also invited

family and friends to join for a meal and field games after the hike. It was nice to relax and enjoy time together. We are already looking ahead to plan our next Cedar Falls event!

The Floyd Camping Trip event benefitted from some beautiful weather. Participants engaged in a scavenger hunt around the property, enjoyed some delicious meals, and connected through camaraderie around the camp fire.

Online Store Front: Now Open

Ruck Iowa now has an online store that offers a variety of branded gear. There will NOT be any event specific merch available at events for the 2026 season, so make sure to check out our clothing options online ahead of time.

We Have a Trailer!

This winter, Ruck Iowa purchased a trailer to house all of our materials for events. Signs by Tomorrow also helped us design the stickers you will see on the outside. Make sure to keep an eye out for it at our upcoming events!

Upcoming Events

• July 25, 2026 - Clear Lake Veterans Hike

  • Meet us at the VFW in Clear Lake, IA to participate in a leisurly hike around the town. Enjoy the lake views while making connections with fellow veterans. Check In will begin at 10:00am. Please RSVP at www.ruckiowa.com

    
    

• August 15, 2026 - Ames Veterans Hike

  • NEW event coming soon! Our committee is hard at work making this event happen. More updates to come, so stay tuned!

  
  

• Septemper 19, 2026 - Golf Tournament

  • Gather a team of 4 people and join us for a round of golf. The cost will be $240 per team. Regester on our website at www.ruckiowa.com
